- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
- 1 large egg, beaten
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- On a floured surface, roll out puff pastry slightly and cut out star shapes using a cookie cutter.
- Place half of the stars on the baking sheet and top each with a small amount of shredded cheese in the center.
- Top with remaining stars, press edges lightly to seal.
- Brush tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with a pinch of salt.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
- Let cool slightly and serve warm.
