  • 1 shot espresso (or 1/2 cup brewed strong coffee)
  • 1 cup (240ml) milk (or almond milk for a dairy-free version)
  • 1 tbsp almond syrup (or almond extract, if preferred)
  • 1/2 tsp rose powder
  • 1 tbsp honey or sweetener of choice (optional)
  • Ground cinnamon (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Espresso:
    Brew your espresso shot or make a strong cup of coffee if you don’t have an espresso machine. Set aside.
  • Heat the Milk:
    In a small saucepan, heat the milk (or almond milk) over medium heat until warm but not boiling. Stir in the rose powder and almond syrup (or almond extract) until fully incorporated. For a frothy texture, you can use a milk frother or whisk vigorously.
  • Combine and Sweeten:
    Pour the brewed espresso into a mug. Add honey or your preferred sweetener if desired, stirring until dissolved.
  • Pour the Milk:
    Slowly pour the warm milk mixture into the mug with the espresso, holding back the foam with a spoon. Top with the foamed milk.
  • Garnish and Serve:
    Sprinkle a light dusting of ground cinnamon or extra rose powder on top for a touch of elegance.

Notes

  • For a dairy-free version, almond milk works wonderfully, but you can use any plant-based milk of your choice.
