Description

This rich, creamy beef pasta with garlic sauce is the ultimate comfort food. Full of cheesy flavor and easy to make, it’s the perfect dish for a weeknight dinner!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz medium pasta shells
  • 1 lb diced lean beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cook the Pasta:
Cook pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  • Sauté the Onion and Garlic:
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sauté onion and garlic until softened, about 3-4 minutes.

  • Cook the Beef:
Add diced beef to the skillet, breaking it up as it cooks, until browned and fully cooked.

  • Season and Simmer:
Season with paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir in beef broth and heavy cream, bringing the mixture to a simmer.

  • Simmer the Sauce:
Reduce heat and let the sauce simmer for 10 minutes until it thickens to a creamy consistency.

  • Combine Pasta and Sauce:
Add the cooked pasta shells to the skillet, stirring until the pasta is fully coated in the creamy sauce.

  • Finish with Cheese and Garnish:
Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • You can use any pasta shape you like; shells or penne work great for this dish.
  • For extra richness, you can add a dollop of cream cheese to the sauce.
  • If you’d like a bit of heat, sprinkle in some red pepper flakes with the paprika.
