Description
Freshly pressed sugarcane juice, known as Asab, served chilled with mint and lime for a sweet, earthy, and refreshing drink perfect for hot days.
Ingredients

- 4 medium sugarcane stalks, peeled and chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- 4 to 5 fresh mint leaves
- Ice cubes, as needed
- Pinch of salt (optional)
Instructions
- Peel and chop the sugarcane into small, manageable pieces.
- Run the pieces through a sugarcane juicer to extract the juice.
- Stir in the lime juice and crushed mint leaves.
- Strain the juice using a fine strainer or cheesecloth to remove pulp.
- Chill or pour over ice cubes.
- Garnish with a mint sprig and serve immediately.
Notes
- Use young, juicy sugarcane stalks for best flavor.
- For extra refreshment, chill the serving glasses beforehand.
- Add ginger or black salt for flavor variation.
