A hearty, one-pan dinner combining all the flavors of a classic bacon cheeseburger with rice. Easy to make, family-friendly, and loaded with beef, bacon, cheddar, and tangy burger sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 yellow onion, diced
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 8 ounces tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 2 cups Minute rice
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup cooked bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, add the ground beef and diced onions. Cook over medium heat until the beef is browned and no pink remains. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute. Drain excess grease and season with seasoned salt.
  2. Add tomato sauce, ketchup, mustard, Minute rice, and beef broth to the skillet. Stir well to combine and bring to a light simmer. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the broth is absorbed and rice is tender.
  3. Stir in 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese and 1/2 cup of chopped cooked bacon.
  4. Top with the remaining cheese and bacon. Cover the skillet and allow the steam to melt the cheese.
  5. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use freshly cooked bacon for the best flavor and crunch.
  • You can substitute regular rice, but adjust liquid and cook time as needed.
  • Top with sliced pickles, diced tomatoes, or green onions for a cheeseburger feel.
  • Leftovers keep well in the fridge for up to 3 days.
