Description
A hearty, one-pan dinner combining all the flavors of a classic bacon cheeseburger with rice. Easy to make, family-friendly, and loaded with beef, bacon, cheddar, and tangy burger sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 yellow onion, diced
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
- 8 ounces tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 2 cups Minute rice
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup cooked bacon, chopped
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
Instructions
- In a large skillet, add the ground beef and diced onions. Cook over medium heat until the beef is browned and no pink remains. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute. Drain excess grease and season with seasoned salt.
- Add tomato sauce, ketchup, mustard, Minute rice, and beef broth to the skillet. Stir well to combine and bring to a light simmer. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the broth is absorbed and rice is tender.
- Stir in 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese and 1/2 cup of chopped cooked bacon.
- Top with the remaining cheese and bacon. Cover the skillet and allow the steam to melt the cheese.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
- Use freshly cooked bacon for the best flavor and crunch.
- You can substitute regular rice, but adjust liquid and cook time as needed.
- Top with sliced pickles, diced tomatoes, or green onions for a cheeseburger feel.
- Leftovers keep well in the fridge for up to 3 days.
