Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite kind)
- 1/4 cup honey
- Chopped fresh chives or parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly grease it.
- In three separate bowls, place flour in the first, beaten eggs in the second, and panko mixed with garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika in the third.
- Coat each chicken piece in flour, then dip in egg, then press into the panko mixture until fully coated. Arrange on prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 18–20 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and cooked through.
- Meanwhile, in a small saucepan over low heat, combine BBQ sauce and honey. Stir until warmed and smooth.
- Once chicken is done, toss the bites in the warm honey BBQ sauce until evenly coated.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped chives or parsley if desired.
Notes
- Use a wire rack on the baking sheet for extra crispiness.
- For spicier bites, add a dash of cayenne or hot sauce to the BBQ mixture.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat in the oven to maintain crisp texture.
