Description

Tender, juicy baby back ribs cooked low and slow, then glazed with smoky-sweet BBQ sauce for the ultimate finger-licking comfort food.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 racks baby back ribs (about 4 lbs total)
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a baking sheet with foil.
  2. Remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs.
  3. Mix brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and cayenne. Rub ribs with olive oil, then coat evenly with spice mix.
  4. Wrap ribs tightly in foil and place on baking sheet. Bake for 2½–3 hours, until tender.
  5. Remove from oven, unwrap, and brush with BBQ sauce. Broil for 3–5 minutes or grill for 5–7 minutes until caramelized.
  6. Rest 10 minutes, then slice and serve with extra BBQ sauce.

Notes

  • Remove the silver skin for tender ribs.
  • Cook low and slow for best results.
  • Brush sauce in layers for a sticky glaze.
