Description

A juicy and flavorful twist on the classic burger, blending lean beef with creamy white beans and sweet yellow squash for a tender, satisfying bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 cup cooked white beans, mashed
  • 1 cup grated yellow squash, squeezed dry
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 whole wheat burger buns
  • 1 large tomato, sliced
  • 4 lettuce leaves

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium heat and drizzle with olive oil.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, mashed beans, grated squash, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper until just mixed.
  3. Form into 4 equal-sized patties and chill for 15 minutes to firm up.
  4. Cook patties for 4–5 minutes per side until browned and cooked through.
  5. Lightly toast buns and layer with lettuce, tomato, and a cooked patty.
  6. Add desired sauces and serve warm.

Notes

  • Chill patties before cooking to help them hold shape.
  • Do not overmix to keep texture tender.
  • Squeeze squash well to remove excess moisture.
