Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g sirloin steak
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 120g dry pasta
  • 1 tsp garlic puree
  • 1 small white onion, diced
  • 1 small red pepper, diced
  • 70g reduced-fat garlic herb cream cheese
  • 150ml pasta water
  • 1 crumbled beef stock cube
  • 10g grated parmesan cheese
  • 3 sprigs parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Season the Steak: Rub both sides of the steak with Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Pan-fry for 1.5 minutes on each side for medium rare (adjust for thickness). Remove and let rest.
  2. Cook the Pasta: Boil pasta in salted water until al dente.
  3. Prepare the Sauce:
    • In the same pan, sauté garlic puree, onion, and red pepper until softened.
    • Add cream cheese, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
    • Pour in the pasta water and add the crumbled beef stock cube. Stir to combine.
  4. Dice the Steak: Cut the steak into bite-sized cubes.
  5. Combine and Serve: Toss cooked pasta with the sauce and parmesan. Top with steak pieces, drizzle with remaining sauce, and garnish with parsley.

Notes

  • Adjust steak cooking time based on your preferred doneness.
  • For a spicier kick, add extra Cajun seasoning.
  • Substitute regular cream cheese for a richer option.
