Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup nacho cheese sauce (optional)
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 2 cups frozen French fries
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup salsa or pico de gallo
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Fries:

    • Bake or air fry the French fries according to package instructions until golden and crispy. Set aside.
  2. Prepare the Beef:

    • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess grease.
    • Add taco seasoning and water, stirring until well combined. Let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Assemble the Burritos:

    • Warm the tortillas slightly to make them pliable. Spread a layer of nacho cheese sauce (if using) or shredded cheddar on each tortilla.
    • Add a generous scoop of seasoned beef, a handful of crispy fries, and a sprinkle of cheddar cheese.
  4. Roll ‘Em Up:

    • Fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll it up tightly to form a burrito.
  5. Toast the Burritos:

    • In a skillet over medium heat, toast the burritos seam-side down for 1-2 minutes until golden and crispy. Flip and toast the other side.
  6. Serve and Enjoy:

    • Slice the burritos in half, drizzle with sour cream, and top with salsa or pico de gallo. Garnish with fresh cilantro if desired.

Notes

– For an extra kick, add jalapeños or a drizzle of hot sauce inside the burrito.
– Make it extra cheesy by stuffing in mozzarella or pepper jack cheese.

– Serve with guacamole or queso dip on the side for ultimate indulgence.
