Ingredients

Scale

For the Pasta:

  • 12 oz linguine pasta
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

For the Ground Beef:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Prepare the Linguine:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the linguine and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain.
  • Cook the Ground Beef:
Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it into crumbles, until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:
In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Stir in the heavy cream and reserved pasta water, mixing until smooth.
Gradually add Parmesan cheese and mozzarella cheese, stirring until the sauce is creamy and the cheese is melted.
  • Combine Pasta and Sauce:
Add the cooked linguine to the skillet with the sauce, tossing to coat evenly. If the sauce is too thick, add a little more pasta water to reach your desired consistency.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve:
Plate the cheesy garlic butter linguine and top with the seasoned ground beef.
Garnish with fresh parsley and an extra sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
    Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick or omit for a milder flavor.
  • If you prefer a lighter version, you can substitute the heavy cream with half-and-half or milk.
  • You can use ground turkey or chicken as a leaner alternative to beef.
