Description

Crispy baked Chicken Cordon Bleu with tender chicken wrapped around savory turkey ham and melted cheese, finished with a golden breadcrumb crust that feels comforting and elegant at the same time.


Ingredients

  • Chicken cutlets, 4 pieces (about 120 g each)
  • Cheese slices, 4 slices (about 20 g each)
  • Turkey ham slices, 4 thin slices (about 25 g each)
  • All purpose flour, 60 g
  • Eggs, 2 large
  • Breadcrumbs, 90 g
  • Salt, 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper, 0.5 teaspoon
  • Paprika, 0.5 teaspoon
  • Olive oil, 1 tablespoon


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Place the flour in one bowl, beat the eggs in a second bowl, and mix breadcrumbs with salt, pepper, and paprika in a third bowl.
  3. Lay each chicken cutlet flat, top with one slice of turkey ham and one slice of cheese, then roll tightly.
  4. Roll each chicken piece in flour, dip into egg, then coat fully with breadcrumbs.
  5. Place the rolled chicken seam side down in the baking dish and drizzle lightly with olive oil.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes until golden and cooked through.
  7. Rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

  • Panko breadcrumbs can be used for extra crunch.
