Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup holiday sprinkles (red and green, optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Make the Dough:
In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth and creamy. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until combined. Gradually add the cake mix, mixing until a thick, sticky dough forms. Fold in the holiday sprinkles, if using.
  • Shape the Cookies:
Place powdered sugar in a small bowl. Scoop the dough using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, then roll each ball in the powdered sugar to coat fully.
  • Bake:
Place the sugar-coated dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the tops have a crinkle appearance. The cookies should still be soft in the center.
  • Cool and Serve:
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Enjoy your soft, ooey-gooey holiday cookies!
