Description

Soft, fluffy, and loaded with warm cinnamon sugar flavor, this Cinnamon Donut Bread is a no-fry twist on your favorite treat. Baked to golden perfection and dusted with sweet spice, it’s a comforting loaf perfect for breakfast or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×5 inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, whisk milk, eggs, sour cream, and melted butter until combined.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently mix until just combined.
  5. Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  6. Sprinkle with additional cinnamon sugar if desired.
  7. Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  9. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

  • Do not overmix the batter to keep the bread tender.
  • Let the loaf cool slightly before slicing to preserve moisture.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
  • Freeze individual slices for easy reheating later.
