Description

A cozy and creamy cinnamon hot chocolate made with real cocoa, milk, and warm spices, perfect for chilly days and festive nights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Whipped cream (optional, for topping)
  • Cinnamon stick (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, whisk together cocoa powder, sugar, cinnamon, salt, and a splash of milk to create a smooth paste.
  2. Set the saucepan over medium-low heat. Gradually pour in the remaining milk while whisking continuously.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and continue to whisk until everything is well blended and smooth.
  4. Let the hot chocolate gently simmer for 3 to 5 minutes until hot and fragrant, avoiding a full boil.
  5. Pour into mugs and top with whipped cream and a cinnamon stick if desired.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy warm.

Notes

  • Use plant-based milk for a dairy-free version.
  • Add a splash of espresso for a mocha twist.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge and reheat gently on the stove.
