Description

This fresh and filling Cobb salad features rows of romaine, grilled chicken, avocado, eggs, tomatoes, and blue cheese, all drizzled with a creamy homemade buttermilk ranch dressing. It’s a classic made even better with bold flavor and vibrant color.


Ingredients

  • 6 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 2 cups grilled chicken breast, sliced
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 2 hard-boiled eggs, sliced
  • 1 large avocado, sliced
  • ½ cup blue cheese, crumbled
  • ¾ cup buttermilk ranch dressing

For the Buttermilk Ranch Dressing:

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup buttermilk
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried dill
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped


Instructions

  1. If grilling fresh chicken, cook and let it rest before slicing.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together all dressing ingredients until smooth. Chill until ready to use.
  3. Peel and slice hard-boiled eggs. Halve cherry tomatoes and slice avocado.
  4. On a large platter or in bowls, arrange romaine, chicken, tomatoes, eggs, avocado, and blue cheese in rows.
  5. Drizzle with ranch dressing and top with fresh parsley if desired.
  6. Serve immediately while crisp and fresh.
