A hearty and easy crockpot meal featuring tender chicken, creamy broth, and soft egg noodles for a comforting dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans cream of chicken soup
  • 2 cans chicken broth (15 oz each)
  • 1 stick butter or margarine
  • 1 lb chicken breasts (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 package frozen egg noodles (24 oz) (Reames recommended)

Instructions

  • Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of the crockpot.
  • Pour the chicken broth and cream of chicken soup on top of the chicken.
  • Add the stick of butter on top of the mixture.
  • Cover the crockpot and set it to low for 6-7 hours.
  • After the chicken is cooked, take it out and shred it.
  • Return the shredded chicken to the crockpot, then add the frozen noodles.
  • Cook for an additional 2 hours on low, stirring every 30 minutes until the noodles are tender.

Notes

  • Stirring every 30 minutes is key to ensure the noodles cook evenly and don’t stick.
  • This recipe can be made with frozen chicken breasts, making it even easier for a last-minute meal.
  • Adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper to taste after adding the noodles.
