- 2 cans cream of chicken soup
- 2 cans chicken broth (15 oz each)
- 1 stick butter or margarine
- 1 lb chicken breasts (fresh or frozen)
- 1 package frozen egg noodles (24 oz) (Reames recommended)
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of the crockpot.
- Pour the chicken broth and cream of chicken soup on top of the chicken.
- Add the stick of butter on top of the mixture.
- Cover the crockpot and set it to low for 6-7 hours.
- After the chicken is cooked, take it out and shred it.
- Return the shredded chicken to the crockpot, then add the frozen noodles.
- Cook for an additional 2 hours on low, stirring every 30 minutes until the noodles are tender.
Notes
- Stirring every 30 minutes is key to ensure the noodles cook evenly and don’t stick.
- This recipe can be made with frozen chicken breasts, making it even easier for a last-minute meal.
- Adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper to taste after adding the noodles.
