Description

Crabby Shrimp-Stuffed Garlic Bread Bombs are a savory appetizer featuring creamy shrimp filling, mozzarella, garlic, and fresh herbs baked inside crusty Italian bread. Perfect for parties or an indulgent snack, these bread bombs deliver cheesy, seafood-packed flavor in every bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 loaf of crusty Italian bread
  • 1 pound of fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup of cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup of fresh parsley, chopped
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup of butter, melted
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Chop the shrimp into small pieces and place in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Add the cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, chopped parsley, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix well until fully combined.
  4. Slice the loaf of Italian bread in half lengthwise and carefully hollow out some of the bread from each half to create space for the filling.
  5. Evenly stuff the shrimp mixture into the hollowed-out bread halves.
  6. Brush the tops of the stuffed bread with melted butter.
  7. Wrap the stuffed bread in foil and place on a baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes.
  8. Unwrap the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes, until the tops are golden and the filling is bubbly.
  9. Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve warm.

Notes

  • Frozen shrimp can be used—thaw and drain well before using.
  • Substitute cream cheese with ricotta or Greek yogurt for a lighter version.
  • Can be assembled ahead of time and baked just before serving.
  • Add extra herbs or a sprinkle of parmesan for extra flavor.
