  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:
    Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  • Prepare the Coating:
    In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the shredded cheddar cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until well combined.
  • Coat the Chicken:
    Dip each chicken breast into the melted butter, ensuring it is evenly coated on both sides.
    Then, press the buttered chicken breast into the breadcrumb mixture, making sure it is well-covered with the cheesy breadcrumb mixture. Press down gently to ensure the crumbs stick. Repeat for all chicken breasts.
  • Bake the Chicken:
    Place the coated chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish, spacing them evenly apart.
    Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked (internal temperature of 165°F or 75°C) and the coating is golden and crispy.
  • Garnish and Serve:
    Once baked, remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes.
    Garnish with chopped fresh parsley for a burst of color and fresh flavor.
    Serve with your favorite sides like roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad.
