  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups panko breadcrumbs
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • 4 burger buns, toasted
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Sliced tomato
  • Sliced pickles
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Pat shrimp dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Place flour mixed with paprika and garlic powder in one bowl, beaten eggs in a second bowl, and panko breadcrumbs in a third bowl.
  3. Dip each shrimp first into the flour mixture, then into the eggs, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat. Fry shrimp in batches for 2-3 minutes until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  5. In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  6. Spread sauce on the bottom bun, add lettuce, tomato, pickles, and top with crispy shrimp. Add more sauce on the top bun if desired.
  7. Serve immediately with fries or salad.

  • For a spicier kick, add a dash of hot sauce to the homemade sauce.
  • Use fresh shrimp for best flavor and texture.
