Crispy golden chicken bites coated in a sticky honey garlic glaze with savory garlic flavor and crunchy texture in every bite.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions


Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. In one bowl combine flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Whisk eggs in a separate bowl.
  4. Dip chicken pieces into eggs then coat in the flour mixture.
  5. Fry chicken in batches for 4 to 5 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. In another pan combine honey, garlic, soy sauce, and ketchup.
  7. Simmer gently and stir in the cornstarch slurry until thickened.
  8. Toss crispy chicken in the sauce until coated evenly.
  9. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
