Description

Crockpot Mississippi Chicken is a flavorful and easy-to-make dish with tender chicken cooked in a savory sauce of ranch seasoning, au jus gravy, and pepperoncini peppers. It’s a perfect meal for busy days!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 5-6 pepperoncini peppers
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot.
  • Sprinkle the ranch dressing mix and au jus gravy mix evenly over the chicken.
  • Add the butter on top of the chicken and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Place the pepperoncini peppers on top of everything.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and easily shredded.
  • Shred the chicken with two forks and mix with the sauce before serving.

Notes

  • You can adjust the number of pepperoncini peppers depending on your heat preference.
  • For a creamier dish, you can add a little cream cheese or heavy cream at the end of cooking.
