These adorable heart-shaped cinnamon rolls with a strawberry jelly filling and a sweet icing drizzle are the perfect Valentine’s Day treat. A fun, delicious way to start the day with a sprinkle of love!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (8 rolls) refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing
  • 1/4 cup strawberry jelly
  • All-purpose flour (for dusting)
  • Optional: Pink or red food coloring (to tint the icing)

Instructions

  • Preheat and Prepare:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Shape the Cinnamon Rolls:
    • Open the can of cinnamon rolls and separate them. Unroll each piece into a strip.
    • Flatten the strips slightly and fold each one into a V-shape to resemble the bottom point of a heart.
    • Shape the ends of the V into the top curves of a heart. Gently pinch and adjust to perfect the heart shape.
  • Secure the Heart Shape:
    • Place the heart-shaped rolls on the prepared baking sheet.
    • Flatten the base of the heart slightly to create a small well for the filling.
  • Partial Baking:
    • Bake the shaped cinnamon rolls for 5 minutes. This allows them to firm up slightly, creating a base for the jelly.
  • Add Jelly Filling:
    • Remove the cinnamon rolls from the oven. Carefully spoon a small amount of strawberry jelly into the center of each heart and spread it evenly.
  • Bake to Perfection:
    • Return the rolls to the oven and bake for an additional 6–8 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Prepare the Icing:
    • If desired, tint the included icing with a drop or two of pink or red food coloring for a festive touch.
  • Drizzle and Serve:
    • Once baked, drizzle the icing across the finished hearts. Serve warm and enjoy the adorable Valentine’s treat!

Notes

  • Be sure to keep an eye on the rolls during the second baking step to avoid over-baking.
  • You can also substitute the strawberry jelly with raspberry or even a chocolate spread for a twist.
