Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound pizza dough
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup pepperoni slices
- 1/2 pound Italian sausage (cooked and crumbled)
- 1 cup fresh mushrooms (sliced)
- 1 can (14 ounces) crushed tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and place your deep pan or cast iron skillet inside to warm.
- In a saucepan, heat 1 tablespoon olive oil. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Stir in crushed tomatoes, oregano, and a pinch of salt. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Roll out dough and press into the hot pan, letting it go up the sides. Brush with remaining olive oil.
- Layer with mozzarella, sausage, pepperoni, and mushrooms. Spread tomato sauce on top and sprinkle with Parmesan.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden and bubbling. Cover loosely with foil halfway if needed.
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then slice and serve hot.
Notes
- Pre-bake crust for 5 minutes to avoid sogginess.
- Let pizza rest before slicing to keep layers intact.
- Sprinkle cornmeal in the pan for extra crunch.
