- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 pound Italian sausage
- 1 cup pepperoni slices
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 3 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 12 ounces penne pasta
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a deep 9×13 baking dish.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef, sausage, and diced onion until browned. Drain grease.
- Stir in marinara sauce, oregano, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Cook pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain well.
- Layer pasta in baking dish, top with meat sauce and mozzarella. Repeat if needed. Finish with parmesan and pepperoni slices on top.
- Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let rest 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
