Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups white chocolate chunks
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in the white chocolate chunks with a rubber spatula.
- Using a medium cookie scoop, drop dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them evenly.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until edges are set but centers still look soft.
- Cool on the tray for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Chilling the dough for 30 minutes enhances flavor and reduces spreading.
- Use room temperature ingredients for a smoother dough.
- Press extra white chocolate chunks on top before baking for visual appeal.
