This Dragon Sauce is the perfect balance of sweet, tangy, and spicy! Made with pantry staples like soy sauce, honey, sriracha, and garlic, it’s an easy-to-make versatile sauce that pairs wonderfully with meats, veggies, or as a dipping sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp sriracha sauce (adjust to spice preference)
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water

Instructions

  • Combine the Base Ingredients:
In a small saucepan, add the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sriracha sauce. Stir well to combine.
  • Prepare the Slurry:
In a separate small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water until smooth to create the cornstarch slurry.
  • Simmer the Sauce:
Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
  • Thicken the Sauce:
Slowly whisk in the cornstarch slurry, stirring constantly as the sauce thickens to a smooth consistency.
  • Cool and Serve:
Once the sauce has thickened, remove the saucepan from heat and let it cool slightly. Use it immediately or store it for later.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of sriracha to control the level of heat.
  • You can use this sauce as a marinade, dipping sauce, or drizzle it over stir-fried dishes and grilled meats.
  • Store any leftover sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
