These homemade orange candies are bursting with fresh citrus flavor and a chewy texture. With only three ingredients, they are simple to make and perfect for a sweet treat!

  • 1 cup fresh orange juice (from about 2 large oranges)
  • 1/2 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

Instructions

  • Prepare the Mixture:
    In a saucepan, combine the fresh orange juice, sugar, and cornstarch. Stir well to dissolve the sugar and cornstarch into the juice.
  • Cook the Candy:
    Heat the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a simmer. Stir continuously to avoid lumps, and cook for 5-7 minutes until the mixture thickens to a syrupy consistency.
  • Set the Candy:
    Once the mixture thickens and becomes glossy, remove it from heat. Let it cool slightly, then pour it into a greased tray or silicone mold.
  • Chill and Serve:
    Allow the mixture to set at room temperature for about 30 minutes, then refrigerate for 1-2 hours until firm. Once set, cut into small squares or pop them out of the molds.
