Ingredients
Scale
4 tbsp unsalted butter 🧈
10 oz mini marshmallows (1 bag) 🍡
1 cup freeze-dried strawberries (processed into a fine powder) 🍓
6 cups Rice Krispie cereal 🥣
Non-stick cooking spray or parchment paper 🧼
Instructions
Prepare the Freeze-Dried Strawberry Powder
Place the freeze-dried strawberries in a food processor and blend until they become a fine powder. Set aside.
Melt the Butter and Marshmallows
In a large pot, melt the butter over low heat.
Add the mini marshmallows and stir continuously until fully melted and smooth.
Incorporate Strawberry Powder and Cereal
Stir the strawberry powder into the melted marshmallow mixture until evenly combined.
Gradually add the Rice Krispie cereal and fold gently until all the cereal is coated with the strawberry-marshmallow mixture.
Shape into a Flat Layer
Spray a 9×13-inch pan with non-stick cooking spray or line it with parchment paper.
Press the mixture evenly into the pan using a greased spatula or your hands (lightly buttered to prevent sticking).
Cut Out the Heart Shapes
Let the Rice Krispie mixture cool for 10-15 minutes.
Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out heart shapes. Gently lift them out of the pan and place them on a serving tray.
Optional Decoration
Drizzle with melted white or pink chocolate for an extra festive touch, or sprinkle with Valentine’s Day sprinkles!
