Description

A refreshing Cuban cocktail, this fresh mojito recipe combines mint, lime, sugar, rum, and soda water to create the perfect summer drink. Easy to prepare and customizable with non-alcoholic variations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 fresh mint leaves, plus more for garnish
  • 1/2 lime, cut into 4 wedges
  • 2 teaspoons granulated sugar (or to taste)
  • 2 oz white rum
  • 1/2 cup club soda
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Muddle the mint leaves and 2 lime wedges with sugar to release juice and oils.
  2. Add the remaining lime wedges and muddle gently again.
  3. Fill the glass with ice cubes.
  4. Pour in 2 oz of white rum.
  5. Top with 1/2 cup of club soda and stir gently to combine.
  6. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and an extra lime wedge. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use spearmint for the best flavor.
  • Adjust sugar to your preferred sweetness.
  • For a virgin mojito, omit the rum and add more soda or ginger ale.
  • Crushed ice enhances flavor infusion.
  • Experiment with flavored rums for unique twists.
