Description

Golden, crispy sandwiches filled with creamy cheesecake and juicy strawberries, dusted with powdered sugar. A fun and indulgent dessert that’s ready in just 20 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ⅓ cup powdered sugar (plus extra for dusting)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup strawberries, sliced
  • 8 slices brioche or challah bread
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  2. Whisk together egg and milk in a shallow dish.
  3. Spread cheesecake filling on 4 slices of bread. Top with strawberries and cover with remaining bread slices.
  4. Dip each sandwich briefly into the egg mixture, coating both sides.
  5. Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a nonstick skillet over medium-low heat.
  6. Fry sandwiches 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crisp, adding more butter as needed.
  7. Remove from skillet, dust with powdered sugar, and slice diagonally.
  8. Serve warm with optional chocolate drizzle or extra strawberries.

Notes

  • Use thick bread slices like brioche or challah for best results.
  • Don’t overfill sandwiches to prevent leaking during frying.
  • Chill strawberries briefly before using to reduce juice leakage.
  • Reheat leftovers in a skillet or air fryer for crispiness.
