- ⅓ cup powdered sugar (plus extra for dusting)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup strawberries, sliced
- 8 slices brioche or challah bread
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 2 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- In a bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Whisk together egg and milk in a shallow dish.
- Spread cheesecake filling on 4 slices of bread. Top with strawberries and cover with remaining bread slices.
- Dip each sandwich briefly into the egg mixture, coating both sides.
- Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a nonstick skillet over medium-low heat.
- Fry sandwiches 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crisp, adding more butter as needed.
- Remove from skillet, dust with powdered sugar, and slice diagonally.
- Serve warm with optional chocolate drizzle or extra strawberries.
