- Milk or Cream: 2–3 tablespoons

Instructions
- Preheat Your Equipment: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract, beating until fully combined.
- Prepare Your Cooking Vessel: In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry mix to the wet mix until a dough forms.
- Assemble the Dish: Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about ¼-inch thick. Cut into shapes and place on prepared baking sheets.
- Cook to Perfection: Bake for 8–10 minutes or until edges are just lightly golden. Remove and cool on wire racks.
- Finishing Touches: While cookies cool, prepare the frosting by beating butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth. Tint with food coloring if desired.
- Serve and Enjoy: Frost each cookie generously, add sprinkles, and let them set before serving.
Notes
- Chill the dough to prevent spreading and deepen flavor.
- Don’t overbake—edges should be just lightly golden.
- Use gel food coloring for vibrant frosting colors.
- Store in airtight container to maintain softness.
