    • 1 cup all-purpose white flour
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1 egg, beaten
    • 14 oz can fruit cocktail with juice
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • For the Topping:
    • 1/4 cup brown sugar
    • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
    • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  • Prepare the Cake Batter:
    • Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
    • In a mixing bowl, combine sugar, flour, baking soda, and salt.
    • Add the beaten egg, fruit cocktail with juice, and vanilla. Stir well to combine.
    • Pour the batter into a greased 8-inch baking pan.
  • Prepare the Topping:
    • In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar, cinnamon, and chopped walnuts.
    • Sprinkle the topping evenly over the batter.
  • Bake the Cake:
    • Bake for 30–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
    • Let the cake cool slightly, then top with fresh whipped cream before serving.
