Instructions

  • Cream Butter and Sugar:
    • In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and powdered sugar together until light and fluffy. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
  • Prepare the Dough:
    • Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until the dough comes together. Fold in the festive sprinkles and mini white chocolate chips (if using).
  • Chill the Dough:
    • Cover the dough and chill it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to make it easier to handle.
  • Preheat Oven and Prepare Baking Sheet:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Shape the Cookies:
    • Once chilled, roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 1 inch apart.
  • Bake the Cookies:
    • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the bottoms are lightly golden while keeping the tops pale. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
  • Coat with Powdered Sugar:
    • When the cookies are completely cool, roll each one in powdered sugar until coated. For an extra snowy touch, give them a second roll before serving.
