- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely grated
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried mint
- 1 large egg
- 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons milk
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Olive oil, for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix grated onion, garlic, parsley, oregano, mint, breadcrumbs soaked in milk, egg, salt, and pepper.
- Add ground beef and gently mix until combined. Chill for 20 minutes if desired.
- Form the mixture into small balls and place on a plate.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Fry meatballs in batches until browned and cooked through, about 8–10 minutes.
- Drain on paper towels and garnish with parsley or lemon juice.
- Serve with tzatziki, rice, pita, or salad.
