Ingredients

Scale

For the Shrimp:

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 wooden skewers (soaked in water for 30 minutes)

For the Garlic Butter Sauce:

  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Prepare the Shrimp: Thread the shrimp onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each shrimp.
  • Season the Shrimp: In a bowl, combine olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Toss the shrimp skewers with the seasoning mixture to coat evenly.
  • Grill the Shrimp: Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Grill the shrimp skewers for 2-3 minutes per side, or until cooked through and slightly charred.
  • Make the Garlic Butter Sauce: In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant. Stir in lemon juice, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  • Serve: Serve the grilled shrimp skewers immediately with the garlic butter sauce.

Notes

  • Feel free to use any type of shrimp you prefer for this recipe.
  • For a spicier version, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the seasoning mix.
  • Serve with a side of rice, pasta, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
