- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

- Green gel food coloring, a few drops
- 24 red heart sprinkles or candies
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream butter and sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla and mix until combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients.
- Add green gel food coloring and stir until the dough is evenly colored.
- Roll dough into tablespoon-sized balls and place 2 inches apart on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 8–10 minutes, until edges are just set. Do not overbake.
- While cookies are still warm, gently press a red heart sprinkle into the center of each cookie.
- Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Use gel coloring for vibrant green without thinning the dough.
- Press sprinkles while warm so they stick well.
- Chilling dough briefly can help prevent spreading.
