These festive Grinch Oreo Balls are a no-bake treat perfect for the holidays! With red velvet Oreo crumbs, cream cheese, and a green candy coating topped with a red heart, they bring the Grinch’s spirit to your dessert table.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 24.4 ounces Red Velvet Oreos (2 packages, 44 cookies total)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 15 ounces light green candy melts
  • Red candy hearts

Instructions

  1. Prepare Baking Sheet:
Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Crush Oreos:
Crush the Red Velvet Oreos in a food processor until they reach a fine crumb consistency. Alternatively, place them in a zip closure plastic bag and smash them with a rolling pin.
  3. Mix Filling:
In a mixing bowl, blend the softened cream cheese with an electric hand mixer on high speed until smooth and creamy. Add the Oreo crumbs and combine thoroughly until uniform.
  4. Form Balls:
Using a 1.5” cookie scoop, portion out the mixture and roll each portion into a smooth ball with your hands. Arrange the balls on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Chill:
Refrigerate the cookie balls for at least 2 hours to firm up before dipping.
  6. Melt Candy Melts:
Reserve ½ cup of candy melts for drizzling. Melt the remaining candy melts in a double boiler over low heat, stirring frequently until smooth.
  7. Dip Balls:
Dip each chilled ball into the melted candy using a fork or toothpick. Let any excess drip off before returning them to the baking sheet.
  8. Decorate:
Drizzle the reserved melted candy over the coated balls using a spoon or piping bag. Immediately place a red candy heart on top before the drizzle sets.
  9. Set Coating:
Refrigerate the completed Grinch Oreo Balls until the candy coating is fully set.

Notes

  • Storage: Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
  • Tip: Use a toothpick to help with dipping for cleaner results.
