Ingredients

Scale

Meat

  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 packet Taco Seasoning

Tortillas

  • 4 large Flour Tortillas
  • 4 small Corn Tortillas

Cheese

  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese, shredded

Fresh Veggies

  • 1 cup Lettuce, shredded
  • 1 cup Tomatoes, diced

Condiments

  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream
  • Hot Sauce, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the Meat: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat, then add taco seasoning and a bit of water according to the packet instructions. Stir until the meat is well coated and heated through.
  2. Prepare the Tortillas: Warm your large flour tortillas in a dry skillet for about 30 seconds on each side. This makes them pliable and easier to fold.
  3. Assemble the Crunchwrap: On the center of a tortilla, layer a scoop of seasoned meat, a small corn tortilla, shredded cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, and hot sauce.
  4. Fold the Crunchwrap: Carefully fold the edges of the tortilla inward, creating pleats as you go, until all the filling is enclosed. Make sure to secure it tightly.
  5. Cook the Crunchwrap: In a skillet over medium heat, place the folded side down. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown, then flip and repeat on the other side. This will crisp up the tortilla and melt the cheese inside.

Notes

  • Don’t Overfill: Be careful not to add too much filling, or it will be difficult to fold your Crunchwrap.
  • Use a Non-Stick Skillet: This helps prevent sticking and ensures a perfect golden crust.
  • Experiment with Fillings: Feel free to mix in different meats or veggies to suit your taste.
  • Make Them Ahead: Assemble your Crunchwraps ahead of time and store them in the fridge until ready to cook.
  • Get Creative with Sauces: Try different sauces or dressings for diverse flavor profiles!
