A rich and indulgent dessert, this Hot Fudge Pie is the perfect balance of gooey and fudgy. With just a few simple ingredients, it comes together quickly and bakes into a warm, chocolatey treat that’s perfect for any occasion. Serve it with a scoop of ice cream for the ultimate dessert experience!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 stick butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cream the Butter and Sugar:
Using an electric mixer, cream together the softened butter and sugar until fluffy, about 3 minutes.
  • Add the Eggs and Vanilla:
Add the eggs and vanilla to the butter-sugar mixture and mix well by hand (not with the mixer).
  • Mix in Cocoa, Salt, and Flour:
Add the cocoa powder, salt, and flour to the bowl and stir by hand until the mixture is well combined. Hand mix to keep it gooey—using a mixer will make it more like a brownie or cake texture, which is not as gooey.
  • Prepare the Pie Pan:
Grease an 8-inch pie pan with butter or cooking spray.
  • Pour and Bake:
Pour the mixture into the greased pie pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the center is set.
  • Serve:
Let the pie cool slightly before serving. For extra indulgence, top with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream!

Notes

  • This pie is best served warm with a scoop of ice cream or a drizzle of hot fudge for added richness.
  • You can make this dessert ahead of time and reheat it in the oven or microwave before serving.
