Ingredients

- 12 ounces penne pasta
- 12 ounces sliced sausage
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves minced
- 1 small onion chopped
- 1 cup crushed tomatoes
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Set Instant Pot to sauté mode.
- Add olive oil and brown sausage slices.
- Add onion and garlic and cook briefly.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, chicken broth, pasta, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Close lid and pressure cook for 5 minutes.
- Release pressure carefully.
- Stir in heavy cream and parmesan cheese.
- Mix until the sauce becomes creamy.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- Stir pasta well before cooking to prevent sticking.
- Add extra broth if the sauce becomes too thick.
- Top with extra parmesan before serving.
