- 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 teaspoon Dry Yeast
- 3/4 cup Warm Water
- 1 teaspoon Sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1/4 cup Plain Yogurt
- 2 tablespoons Oil or Ghee
- 1/2 pound Ground Lamb or Beef
- 1 small Onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1-inch piece Ginger, grated
- 1 Green Chili, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon Ground Coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon Ground Cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon Garam Masala
- 2 tablespoons Fresh Cilantro, chopped
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 475°F with a heavy pan inside, or heat a skillet on medium-high.
- Mix flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Add warm water, yogurt, and oil. Knead into a smooth dough. Cover and let rise for 1 hour.
- Sauté onion, garlic, ginger, and chili until soft. Add meat and spices. Cook until browned. Stir in cilantro and let cool.
- Divide dough into balls. Roll one out, place filling in center, seal, and roll flat again.
- Place naan on hot skillet or baking surface. Cook both sides until golden with charred spots.
- Brush with ghee if desired and garnish with fresh herbs or onion.
- Serve hot with raita or chutney.

- Use warm water to activate the yeast properly.
- Drain excess fat from the meat filling to avoid soggy naan.
- Roll gently after stuffing to keep the filling inside.
