Ingredients

- 4 slices Italian bread or sourdough
- 4 cooked lasagna sheets
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat skillet or panini press to medium heat.
- If using fresh ingredients, layer two lasagna sheets with tomato sauce, ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, and seasoning. Top with remaining lasagna sheets.
- Brush one side of each bread slice with olive oil or butter.
- Place lasagna layers between two bread slices, oiled side out.
- Grill in skillet or press for 3–4 minutes per side until bread is golden and cheese is melted.
- Let sandwich rest for 1–2 minutes before slicing.
- Slice and serve warm with extra sauce if desired.
Notes
- Use slightly chilled lasagna layers for easier stacking.
- Don’t overfill the sandwich to prevent mess.
