Description

This homemade taco seasoning blend is the perfect mix of spices for your next taco night! It’s flavorful, customizable, and tastes better than store-bought packets. Plus, you can easily make it salt-free if needed!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp oregano
  • ½ tsp pepper flakes
  • ½ tsp salt (optional or to taste)

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, combine all of the ingredients: chili powder, cumin, paprika, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, pepper flakes, and salt.
  • Stir the spices together until they are fully blended.
  • Store the seasoning blend in an airtight container or jar. Use it to season 1 pound of meat, or adjust the amount for larger portions.

Notes

  • To make the seasoning salt-free, simply omit the salt and adjust to your preferred seasoning level.
  • This blend works perfectly with beef, chicken, pork, or even vegetables for a delicious taco filling.
  • You can also double or triple the recipe to have a larger batch on hand for future meals.
