Description

A creamy Mediterranean layered cheese appetizer made with smooth cheese and bold olive tapenade. Rich, savory, and perfect for sharing with crackers or bread.


Ingredients

  • 120 g Greek yogurt
  • 150 g black olives, pitted
  • 100 g green olives, pitted
  • 1 tablespoon capers
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

  1. Add black olives, green olives, capers, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, oregano, and black pepper to a food processor.
  2. Pulse until a coarse, spreadable tapenade forms.
  3. In a bowl, mix the cream cheese and Greek yogurt until smooth and creamy.
  4. Spread half of the cheese mixture evenly into a serving dish.
  5. Layer the olive tapenade evenly over the cheese.
  6. Top with the remaining cheese mixture and smooth the surface.
  7. Chill briefly before serving with crackers or bread.
