Ingredients
Scale
- 6 Bone-In Skin-On Chicken Thighs
- Salt and Black Pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon Paprika
- ½ teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 4 tablespoons Unsalted Butter, divided
- 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
- 6 Garlic Cloves, minced
- ½ cup Chicken Broth
- 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
- 2–3 sprigs Fresh Thyme or Rosemary
- Chopped Fresh Parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Your Equipment: Heat a large skillet over medium-high. Pat chicken dry and season with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
- Combine Ingredients: Add olive oil and 2 tbsp butter to the pan. Sear chicken skin-side down for 5–6 minutes. Flip and cook another 4 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- Prepare Your Cooking Vessel: Lower heat, add remaining butter and minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Assemble the Dish: Deglaze pan with broth, stir in lemon juice and add herb sprigs.
- Cook to Perfection: Return chicken skin-side up. Cover and simmer for 15–20 minutes. Optional: broil for 2–3 minutes for extra crisp.
- Finishing Touches: Discard herb stems, spoon sauce over chicken, garnish with parsley.
- Serve and Enjoy: Serve hot with rice, potatoes, or crusty bread.
Notes
- Dry chicken thoroughly for crisp sear.
- Don’t burn garlic—sauté gently.
- Broil briefly for extra golden skin.
- Use fresh herbs for deeper flavor or sub dried ones.
