Description

One Pot Garlic Butter Chicken Thighs is a flavorful, skillet-cooked dish featuring crispy golden thighs in a rich garlic butter sauce with herbs and lemon. Perfect for a comforting, quick dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 Bone-In Skin-On Chicken Thighs
  • Salt and Black Pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • ½ teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted Butter, divided
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 6 Garlic Cloves, minced
  • ½ cup Chicken Broth
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 23 sprigs Fresh Thyme or Rosemary
  • Chopped Fresh Parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Your Equipment: Heat a large skillet over medium-high. Pat chicken dry and season with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  2. Combine Ingredients: Add olive oil and 2 tbsp butter to the pan. Sear chicken skin-side down for 5–6 minutes. Flip and cook another 4 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. Prepare Your Cooking Vessel: Lower heat, add remaining butter and minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Assemble the Dish: Deglaze pan with broth, stir in lemon juice and add herb sprigs.
  5. Cook to Perfection: Return chicken skin-side up. Cover and simmer for 15–20 minutes. Optional: broil for 2–3 minutes for extra crisp.
  6. Finishing Touches: Discard herb stems, spoon sauce over chicken, garnish with parsley.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Serve hot with rice, potatoes, or crusty bread.

Notes

  • Dry chicken thoroughly for crisp sear.
  • Don’t burn garlic—sauté gently.
  • Broil briefly for extra golden skin.
  • Use fresh herbs for deeper flavor or sub dried ones.
