- 12 ounces spaghetti
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
- 1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
Instructions
- Heat a large pot over medium heat and add olive oil.
- Sauté onion and garlic for 2–3 minutes until softened.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, then stir in taco seasoning.
- Pour in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and 3 cups of water. Stir well and bring to a simmer.
- Break spaghetti in half and add to the pot, making sure it’s submerged.
- Cover and simmer for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is cooked and sauce thickens.
- Stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro.
Notes
- Use lean ground beef to avoid excess grease.
