Description
Flaky, golden turnovers filled with creamy peanut butter and sweet jam. These PB&J puff pastry treats are nostalgic, fun, and ridiculously easy to make.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package frozen puff pastry (2 sheets), thawed
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup strawberry jam
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- Flour for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- On a lightly floured surface, unfold and roll out puff pastry sheets slightly. Cut each sheet into 4 equal squares.
- Place 1 tablespoon peanut butter and 1 tablespoon jam slightly off-center on each square.
- Fold each square into a triangle and press the edges with a fork to seal. Cut a small slit on top for steam to escape.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with granulated sugar.
- Transfer to baking sheet and bake for 18–22 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
- Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- Use smooth peanut butter for easy spreading and less leaking.
- Try different jams like raspberry or grape for variety.
- Chill assembled turnovers for 10 minutes before baking to help prevent leaks.
- Optional: drizzle with icing or dust with powdered sugar after baking.
