Description

Flaky, golden turnovers filled with creamy peanut butter and sweet jam. These PB&J puff pastry treats are nostalgic, fun, and ridiculously easy to make.


Ingredients

  • 1 package frozen puff pastry (2 sheets), thawed
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup strawberry jam
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • Flour for dusting


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, unfold and roll out puff pastry sheets slightly. Cut each sheet into 4 equal squares.
  3. Place 1 tablespoon peanut butter and 1 tablespoon jam slightly off-center on each square.
  4. Fold each square into a triangle and press the edges with a fork to seal. Cut a small slit on top for steam to escape.
  5. Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with granulated sugar.
  6. Transfer to baking sheet and bake for 18–22 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.

  • Use smooth peanut butter for easy spreading and less leaking.
  • Try different jams like raspberry or grape for variety.
  • Chill assembled turnovers for 10 minutes before baking to help prevent leaks.
