  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup cold milk
  • 3 1/2 cups quick-cooking oats
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Boil the Butter Mixture:
    In a heavy-bottomed pot, combine the butter, sugar, and cold milk. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil and cook for 1 minute while stirring constantly.
  2. Mix in the Peanut Butter:
    Remove the pot from the heat and stir in the peanut butter, vanilla extract, and oats. Mix until everything is well-combined and the peanut butter is melted.
  3. Form the Cookies:
    Use a spoon to scoop and drop spoonfuls of the cookie mixture onto a sheet of parchment paper, forming individual cookies.
  4. Cool and Firm Up:
    Let the cookies cool and firm up at room temperature for about 30 minutes or until they have set.
