Description
Chunky, creamy guacamole made with ripe avocados, lime, red onion, cilantro, jalapeño, and a touch of garlic. It’s fresh, zesty, and perfect for dipping or spreading on everything.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 ripe avocados
- 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
- 1 small Roma tomato, deseeded and diced
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
- Juice of 1 lime
- 1 small garlic clove, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin (optional)
- 1 small jalapeño, finely chopped
Instructions
- Cut avocados in half, remove pits, and scoop flesh into a mixing bowl.
- Use a fork or masher to mash avocados to desired texture—chunky or smooth.
- Stir in onion, tomato, cilantro, garlic, lime juice, salt, cumin (if using), and jalapeño.
- Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
- Let sit for 10 minutes to allow flavors to develop, then serve with chips or your favorite dish.
Notes
- Store with plastic wrap pressed directly on the surface to prevent browning.
- For a milder dip, remove jalapeño seeds or omit entirely.
- Skip tomatoes for a smoother texture.
- Add more lime or a pinch of sugar to balance flavors if needed.
